Introducing the Echo Prayer App for Haven Student Ministry
We are excited to announce that Haven Student Ministry is now utilizing the Echo Prayer app to deepen our prayer life together as a community! This app will be a powerful tool to connect students, families, and our congregation in prayer.
Here’s how the app will be used:
For Small Groups: Each student small group will use the Echo Prayer app to share prayer requests, stay connected, and pray for one another throughout the week.
For Parents: Parents are invited to join the prayer journey by using the app to pray for their teens and stay updated with weekly prayer prompts.
For the Congregation: Every week, there will be general prayer prompts available to everyone, so the entire congregation can join in praying for our students.
Special Prayer Group: We’ve created a special prayer group in the app for anyone who wishes to lift up specific requests for students and their families. This group is open to all who feel called to support our youth in prayer.
How to Get Started:
Download the Echo Prayer app from your app store.
Search for and follow Haven Student Ministry to stay connected with weekly prayer prompts.
For those interested in joining the special prayer group, click the link to fill out the online form to receive an invitation.
We believe this is a wonderful way for our community to come together in support of our youth through the power of prayer. Let’s partner in lifting up the next generation!
For more information or assistance with the app, please reach out to Matt (matt@ocpc.org) or Lauren (lauren@ocpc.org).

Our Sunday School and Youth Group lessons for this week are based off of Ezra 9-10.
Verse of the Week: "But now, for a brief moment, grace has come from the Lord our God to preserve a remnant for us and give us a stake in His holy place. Even in our slavery, God has given us a little relief and light to our eyes." Ezra 9:8
Here are a few questions you can ask your kids to help engage with them throughout the week:
How might our lives look different if we were to see our sin the way Ezra saw Israel’s sin?
What does God’s command for Israel to separate themselves from the other nations tell us about what He desires for His people?
What are some ways we, as a family, can come together to pray, confess, and turn from sin?
Main Takeaway: God’s rule is over all other rulers and authorities. His heart is for the restoration of His people. And His hand is with all who seek Him.
Song Recommendation: When Christians declare that Jesus is the king, this is not a declaration for us only, but a declaration for the world. Jesus is not only king over us, but He is the King of Kings. History has been directed under His lordship, and He has established His throne over all creation. A beautiful reminder of this truth can be heard in the worship song, “King of Kings.”

We're here to come alongside you as you disciple your children!
Here is one resource we thought might be helpful to you this week:
"Godly Parenting as a Witness to the World." This article is sourced from Ligonier Ministries and touches on the verses Pastor Mike preached on this past Sunday! It's also a nice follow up to the recorded lecture that was sent out a few weeks back.
We pray that this is edifying and beneficial to you as you walk through life with your students, and want to remind you that we here at Haven are here for not just your kids, but for you as well! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’re going through difficulties of any kind.
Meet the Haven Team!
Hi Parents! Because we’ve written in the past about how thankful we are for God’s provision of volunteers in order to re-launch small groups, we wanted to take the time to introduce you to who is working with your students! Every person working with us is dedicated to walking with your child and helping them grow in their faith. Below you’ll find a picture and a brief biography of each volunteer, along with how and where they are volunteering in Haven.
Your friends,
Matt and Lauren
*Please know that each member of our team has undergone a background check and has been cleared to work with students.
